Dark Eyed Junco and Magnolia Covered In Moss

This year, I am in the Community Creative Program at Bloedel Reserve on Bainbridge Island, where I am making work based on what I study and draw while at the garden. My work for this exhibit is a reproduction of one of my mixed media nature journaling pieces for one of my projects, showing a Junco in a Mossy tree. The original is paint, matcha, ink, and acrylic marker on watercolor paper. The piece in this show is a digital print of that illustration, collaged onto a wooden board painted with watercolor.

Illustration of a dark-eyed junco on a moss-covered branch, with text about Bloedel Reserve, Bainbridge Island, WA, in a vibrant green setting.
2026, Digital print of collage on wood. The original piece was created with ink and acrylic marker on watercolor paper, and board painted with watercolor.
