Professional Development Programs

Sarah Lawrence College’s End-of-Life Care Program aims to create a new culture of medical care around end-of-life issues. The program addresses the growing need for information, tools, and analysis on topics such as Advance Care Planning, palliative care, and caregiving as they relate to patients, health care professionals, caregivers, and the general public.

Established in 1987, the Child Development Institute (CDI) develops numerous programs, including those for early childhood and elementary school teachers, administrators, and child development professionals. CDI is actively involved in outreach activities that include collaborating with local public school districts to help establish continuing professional development opportunities and programs for teachers and administrators. These programs open up the Sarah Lawrence College campus to public education professionals, and provide meaningful educational experiences for program participants.
