In cooperation with New York University’s Silver School of Social Work, Sarah Lawrence College offers a dual degree in Social Work and Child Development.
- Students in this program can pursue study leading to a master’s degree in Social Work and a master’s degree in Child Development.
- A total of 95 credits are required, including a thesis for the M.A. in Child Development. The dual degree program can be completed full-time in three years or on a part-time basis.
- With faculty guidance, students select courses that are appropriate for transfer credit in both schools.
- Students begin this program with one year of study and fieldwork at Sarah Lawrence. During the second and third years, they pursue their social work courses and clinical fieldwork.
A separate application must be completed for each school, and students must be admitted to both schools before they are reviewed for the dual-degree program.
Please be sure to adhere to each school's deadline.
