New Student Orientation is Wednesday, August 28 through Sunday, September 1, 2024, and is mandatory for all incoming first year and transfer students. During New Student Orientation, students will be cohorted in small groups based on FYS placement with Gryphon Guides and Orientation Leaders. Students can expect to engage in small group discussions related to wellbeing and success in college, hear from many campus offices and resources, and have opportunities to meet other incoming students through larger campus-wide events such as lawn games and the Library Takeover party.
For the most up-to-date schedule of orientation events, students should look on GryphonLink. Once logged in, navigate to “organizations” and select “First Year Experience.” All orientation events are listed under the “Events” tab of the First Year Experience page. Additionally, students can view all campus events, including orientation events, directly on the Events page on GryphonLink.
Additionally, students are encouraged to download the CORQ app in the app store (orange square with white writing), which is the smart-phone version of GryphonLink, and houses information on clubs, campus events, and forms. On CORQ, Orientation events are visible via the instructions above.
