First Year Studies

First Year Studies is a course designed to introduce you to a particular subject area as well as to the conference system that is at the heart of Sarah Lawrence education. FYS is one of three classes students take during their first year at SLC.

Students are assigned to a First Year Studies course at the start of August and will choose their your other two courses during fall registration later in the month, with the help of their your Dons. Read more about choosing your FYS course, including course descriptions on MySLC by clicking here
