Whom We Serve

We serve the F-1 (nonimmigrant) international population of undergraduate and graduate students at Sarah Lawrence College and the departments that support them. Our priority is to provide vital information to help international students through the confusing immigration world and even assist our international students after graduation while on Post-completion OPT.

What We Do

We are the international student’s primary resource for immigration-related needs, providing advisory assistance, documentation services and a variety of information such as: visas, employment, travel, and tax-filing obligations. We are liaisons between the international student and U.S. government agencies, where we monitor the regulations from U.S government agencies that have jurisdiction over the stay of our international students, and we are responsible for institutional compliance. Our goal is to foster the development and education of international students with support and the creation of a more intercultural and inclusive community through holistic advising, collaborative programming, and advocacy.

Students can find out more about international student life at Sarah Lawrence from the International Student Services MySLC page.
