We are now accepting applications for the 2027-2028 academic year . We look forward to meeting you and learning more about your family throughout this process.

2027–2028 Application Process

Step 1: Tour

Families interested in learning more about the ECC are invited to join us on a guided tour of the Early Childhood Center. Tours allow prospective families to see our educational philosophy in action and also provides an overview of our programs, curriculum, and unique approach to early childhood education. Each tour is followed by a meeting with the Director of the ECC, Lorayne Carbon.

Please note that all new families are required to tour as part of the admissions process.

Step 2: Application

Families who wish to pursue enrollment following a tour are invited to submit an application to the Early Childhood Center. The application is designed to provide insight into each child and help determine the most appropriate placement. Please allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the application thoughtfully.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as space allows. To be considered complete, families must submit the online application and the non-refundable $100 application fee. Applications will not be reviewed until the application fee has been received.

At this time, application fees can only be submitted via check, made payable to Sarah Lawrence College Early Childhood Center and submitted in person to the ECC office or via postal mail. Please address any mail to Lorayne Carbon, Early Childhood Center at Sarah Lawrence College, One Mead Way, Bronxville, NY, 10708.

Notification letters will be emailed within 2-4 weeks of the application submission.

Financial Aid

Operating with the belief that all families should have access to a high-quality early childhood education, the ECC does offer limited financial aid to qualifying families. Please email the ECC office if you are interested in learning more or would like to submit a financial aid application concurrently with an admissions application.
