2026-2027 Application Process
Step 1: Attend a Virtual Information Session
Regretfully, all individual fall tours are booked. If you would like to be placed on the waitlist, please email our office.
Prospective families who could not book a tour are invited to attend a virtual Information Session to learn more about the Early Childhood Center. These sessions offer an overview of our programs and insight into our unique educational approach, along with a glimpse into daily classroom life.
Please note: Siblings of current and former ECC students do not need to attend an Information Session. If you are the parent of a sibling applicant, please email us to proceed with admission.
Step 2: Application
Families who wish to pursue enrollment following an Information Session are invited to submit an application to the Early Childhood Center. The application is designed to provide insight into each child and help determine the most appropriate placement. Please allow approximately 30 minutes to complete the application thoughtfully.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis as space allows. To be considered complete, families must submit the online application and the non-refundable $100 application fee. At this time, application fees can only be submitted via check, made payable to Sarah Lawrence College Early Childhood Center.
Please address any postal mail to Lorayne Carbon, Early Childhood Center at Sarah Lawrence College, One Mead Way, Bronxville, NY, 10708.
Step 3: Individual Tours and Parent/Guardian Interview
Upon receipt of a complete application, parent(s)/guardian(s) will be invited to schedule an in-person tour and interview with the Director of the ECC. This meeting provides an opportunity for families to discuss their educational goals and priorities, while allowing the school to ensure an appropriate match for each child.
Note: An additional meeting with the child, Director, and 5/6s Head Teacher is required for families applying to the 5/6s program.
Step 4: Notification
Notification letters will be emailed within a few weeks of the interview.
