Summer Intern Housing Program

Your Home Base for Summer Internships

Sarah Lawrence College is offering convenient, market-priced housing for both Sarah Lawrence and non-Sarah Lawrence students participating in an internship during the summer of 2026.

Residents will reside in Rothschild, one of the College's air conditioned, suite-style residence halls located in the heart of campus. Each apartment features a kitchen, bathroom, and multiple single-occupancy bedrooms. Rothschild is within walking distance to two Metro North stations, making for an easy commute to internships in New York City and throughout Westchester County. When not working, residents can take advantage of the many shopping, dining, and entertainment options at the famous Cross County Shopping Center, just a short walk away, and relax and socialize on our beautiful 40 acre campus.

Who's Eligible for Summer Intern Housing?

Students currently enrolled in any college or university who can provide proof of student status and of participation in a summer internship are eligible for summer intern housing at Sarah Lawrence.

Housing Dates & Rates

Summer intern housing is available for 12 weeks, running from May 17 - August 8, 2026.

  • A minimum three-week stay is required
  • Move-in takes place on Sundays and move-out takes place on Saturdays
  • All residents must move out by Saturday, August 9

The cost of summer intern housing is:

  • $400 per week*
    • 50% of the total housing payment is due upon sign up, and will serve as a non-refundable deposit applied to overall balance
    • The remaining 50% will be due two weeks before move-in

  • Residents may stay for the full 12 weeks of this program, or just a portion of the summer. A minimum three-week stay is required.

    • For stays between May 17 - June 6:
      Application deadline is April 24
    • For stays between July 19 - August 8:
      Application deadline is July 15

    As a reminder, move-in takes place on Sunday and move-out takes place on Saturday. All residents must move out on August 8.

    Applications will be taken as long as space remains available.

Get the structure and support to make your summer internship truly transformative. This dynamic eight-week program for academic credit pairs with your supervised internship to catalyze your professional growth and deepen your readiness for life beyond college. Open to SLC and non-SLC students.
