Greetings on Behalf of Graduate Students
Hello, my name is Bren Thomas, and I am a second-year student in the Theatre MFA program. It is my great pleasure to represent the graduate student body in welcoming Cristle Collins Judd to Sarah Lawrence College. Graduate Studies is comprised of 12 distinct master's and dual degree programs that challenge students to think beyond traditional ideas and discover the myriad ways in which to engage with their chosen field. We—the graduate student body—are wonderfully diverse; some of us have crossed a bridge or two to get here, while others have crossed the country, or an ocean. It is this diversity that makes us a vibrant and vital part of the Sarah Lawrence community. I have been lucky enough to speak with President Judd a number of times since she has arrived on campus, and I’ve always left feeling heard, supported, and energized. There is no doubt that she will continue to be an advocate for all students, and will foster an environment of inclusion and care in which we can all thrive. Welcome to Sarah Lawrence, and congratulations on your new role!
