I have been making art my whole life, but only got the guts to commit to it by age 29 or 30. I then got my Masters in Sculpture at Parsons in conjunction with the New York Studio School. I had been studying painting all the years before with John Adams Griefen. I have exhibited in New York, Germany, Mexico and Canada. I am exhibiting two paintings of figures, loosely and lovingly painted, one in Brasil and one in Mexico.
After Auerbach, Sulfur Bath
This was painted from a black and white photo by Auerbach and I made up the colors and added texture with gels, glitter and sand.
Sweet Awakening
The different colors of earth in Brasil knocks my socks off. I had this black and white image that I wanted to paint for years. The earth really inspired me and then i added glitter and paint to round it out.
