Janice Moore is an oil painter, arts organizer, curator, and advocate in Maine. She paints industrial/work structures that are operational, abandoned, and repurposed. She has long painted portraits of chairs, sometimes in the same work spaces. Though living with MS for 30+ years, she continues to adapt and explore ways to make the marks that tell the stories about being in this moment.
