“Siri Says” exploits the predictive text function of my smartphone to produce an artificially intelligent, personalized monologue born of intimate knowledge of my communication style. This surveillance artifact is interwoven with over 80 license-free stock videos obtained via keyword searches. The result is an absurd manifesto full of relative clauses that was produced during the course of my studies at the University of the Arts Berlin. I will be graduating this summer with a concentration in time-based media and performance.
