Experiential Learning Center

Location: Performing Arts Center

At Sarah Lawrence College, we believe learning extends beyond the classroom. A key component of the College’s mission is ensuring students have the opportunity to develop the skills, experiences, and connections needed to navigate a complex and rapidly changing world.

Sarah Lawrence has established a new Center that fosters and supports hands-on and integrative learning both on and off campus. The Experiential Learning Center connects students with information, resources, and opportunities in Career Services, Community Partnerships & Engagement, Global Education, SLC EmbeddEd, and Pre-Professional Advising.

By bringing these offices together into one shared space, we provide a centralized location for advising students on the many varied experiential learning experiences available to them. Students will also find collaborative coworking areas, a professional setting for remote internships, mentoring sessions, and meeting pods for virtual interviews.

The center provides one location for accessing the following services:

  • Individual and group internship and career advising sessions
  • Individual meetings and information sessions to prepare for study away
  • Experiential learning opportunities
  • Practicum credit options via SLC EmbeddEd
  • Group workshops that support career readiness, community engagement, global education, and pre-professional development
