Literature Faculty Member Gillian Adler Publishes First Book, Chaucer and the Ethics of Time

Literature faculty member Gillian Adler has published her first book, Chaucer and the Ethics of Time. The book examines Geoffrey Chaucer’s sensitivity to the insecurity of human experience amid the temporal circumstances of change and time-passage, as well as strategies for ethicising historical vision in several of his major works. It was released in the UK by University of Wales Press in February 2022, and will be released in the US by Chicago University Press in April 2022.
