Summer Arts in Berlin, Germany

Berlin is, and always has been, defined by its vitality and the arts in equal measure. Ever-changing and fast moving, Berlin is noted as a city that is always in progress, never finished. In Sarah Lawrence College’s Summer Arts program, students rigorously engage with the actual contextual layers of the city’s history. Constantly on-the-go and often working on location, students process and experience classroom material through art-making and individual reflection.

Gain a new perspective on your study of German language, creative writing, or fine arts, while learning about Berlin’s cultural relevance and critical position in Europe.

The Summer in Berlin program is highly selective, and the number of students is limited.

The Office of International Programs can provide further information about the program, as well as names and numbers of program veterans who will be happy to discuss any aspect of the program.
