Explore Your Options with Non-Sarah Lawrence Study Abroad Programs

As a Sarah Lawrence College student, you have the opportunity to spend a year or semester abroad. Sarah Lawrence defines study abroad as an academic program combined with an immersive experience abroad. To provide the opportunity for an immersive experience, programs that involves comparative study in multiple countries must incorporate a 4 week minimum stay in each country.

Not all non-Sarah Lawrence programs are approved by the College. Please visit the Global Education Office located in Swinford House for information on approved programs of study. This is an important and required step to ensure that your program of study is approved for credit transfer. Please sign up for an appointment in advance of applying to ensure your program is approved.

Registering for a Non Sarah Lawrence Program

Please note that any program that offers courses not taught at Sarah Lawrence College (i.e. business, finance, fashion design) will not be approved for transfer credit. Please make sure that all of your courses are approved in advance by the Global Education Office to ensure that credits will transfer back to Sarah Lawrence College.

Global Education at Sarah Lawrence

Sarah Lawrence offers outstanding international experiences as well as opportunities to spend a semester or year with select exchange partners. Students may also elect to study at other accredited four year institutions throughout the United States.
