Sarah Lawrence College provides opportunities for an in depth experience of Chinese culture and language in partnerships with CET Academic Programs. Students enrolling in the Shanghai program will have the opportunity to engage in an internship each semester. The program requires students to have completed one year of Chinese at the college level. This study abroad program is open to Sarah Lawrence College students only.

This remarkable program introduces students to historic and contemporary Cuba—a mix of innovative ideas, weathered facades, lavish beauty, persistent history, artistic sensitivity, and genuine friendliness. As part of a select group, students learn firsthand how and why Cuban culture has shaped—and reshaped—both the regional and international landscapes. This program is open to all students.
Florence, Italy

London Theatre Programs (BADA)

Sarah Lawrence College and the British American Drama Academy (BADA) are pleased to offer students the opportunity to pursue either a conservatory theatre training program within the London Theatre Program or an academic semester studying Shakespeare’s works through the Shakespeare in London Program.
Oxford, England

Study one-on-one with leading scholars at Oxford, one of the oldest and most respected universities in the world. Oxford provides an unparalleled system of education: the pursuit of individual interests in tutorial work supervised by exceptional faculty, complemented by a broad core curriculum. This program is open to all students.
Paris, France

Sarah Lawrence undergraduates can enroll in small seminar courses at Reid Hall, as well as attend classes at Paris’ premier educational institutions. Each course is complemented by weekly or bi-weekly conference work sessions, during which students work individually with professors to delve deeper into course material. The program also offers visual and performing arts courses at studios and conservatories in and around Paris. This program is open to all students.
Tanzania, South Africa & Zimbabwe

Run in collaboration with Pitzer College, this program focuses on understanding and addressing human development issues specific to the region. Coursework in psychology, history, and public policy is paired with fieldwork in community-based organizations. Students live, work, and travel to Tanzania, Botswana, Zimbabwe, and South Africa. This program is open to Sarah Lawrence College students only.
Amsterdam, Netherlands

Sarah Lawrence students have the opportunity to study in Amsterdam through our partnership with the study abroad provider, IES. The Social Science and Humanities program uses Amsterdam’s balance of history and contemporary culture and allows students to study at the Universiteit van Amsterdam (UvA) and at IES’ own Abroad Center. This study abroad opportunity is open to Sarah Lawrence College students only.
