The photographs in this collection are a combination of photographs removed from the Bessie Schonberg Papers and the Photograph Collection of the Sarah Lawrence College Archives.
Scope and Contents note
The Bessie Schonberg Photograph Collection consists of photographs acquired through the Bessie Schonberg papers and the Sarah Lawrence College Archives. Most of the photos are professional in scope, depicting both Schonberg and her students rehearsing and performing. A portrait collection is also included, as well as photos from tribute gatherings in honor of Schonberg, herself. In addition, there are two folders in the collection devoted to former students Meredith Monk and Margot “Spatz” Harley.
