My earnest study of art began at SLC, and continued at NYU and The National Academy of Design in NYC, where I studied with both abstract and representational painters. Through my many years of painting and exhibiting, I have moved back and forth, as the spirit moves me, between working realistically and working more abstractly. The paintings I am showing here are acrylic figure paintings, inspired by larger works in oil that I painted from life, as a student at The National Academy. My recent move to Florida finds me both looking back fondly at my many years studying, showing and seeing art in the New York artworld, and looking ahead to life as a Florida artist.
