Sarah Lawrence is all about one-on-one conversation and learning from primary sources. We take the same approach in the Admission Office. Whether on campus or on the road, we hope to meet you soon!

Visiting Campus in Light of COVID-19

Sarah Lawrence has suspended all visitor programming for prospective and admitted students and families. This includes information sessions and campus tours, as well as our Admitted Students Days. If you are currently registered for a campus visit or an Admitted Students Day, you should receive an e-mail that the event has been canceled. Admitted students will also receive e-mails with information on virtually engaging with our current students and the wider campus community. If you have any questions, please feel free to e-mail us.

Ways to Get to Know Sarah Lawrence College

Campus Tours & Information Sessions

Visiting campus is one of the best ways to experience life as a Sarah Lawrence student. We offer visits—which include a short information session followed by a student-led walking tour of campus—on weekdays throughout the year, plus Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters. Optional on-campus interviews are also available for transfer students and high school seniors.

Campus is located in beautiful Bronxville, NY, which is about thirty minutes north of Midtown Manhattan. Visits usually take about two hours.

Large Group Visits

If you are a high school guidance counselor or a program organizer who works with high school students and wish to bring a group of students to visit and tour Sarah Lawrence College, please fill out the Large Group Visit form. If you have any questions, please reach out to us at 914.395.2510 or slcadmit@sarahlawrence.edu

Throughout the year, we can accommodate groups of juniors and seniors in high school; at certain times of the year we can accommodate younger groups as well.

Admission Interviews

Personal interviews are not a required part of the Sarah Lawrence application process, but they can provide an opportunity for students to talk individually with an admission representative to learn more about the College. Interviews—conducted by current seniors or admission staff—are an opportunity to ask the questions you want to ask, to meet personally with someone who knows the College well, and to get a sense of how your needs and interests will be met by Sarah Lawrence.

Please note that if you are unable to interview, this will not be held against you in the admission process.

Events for Admitted Students

Admitted Student Days are a great opportunity to experience campus beyond a traditional information session and tour. Attend mock classes, meet professors and current students, explore our dining facilities, and more. Admitted Student Days will take place on February 17, April 6, and April 20, 2020. Register for Admitted Students Day

Coffee & Conference gives admitted students the opportunity to sit down with a current student for coffee (or tea!) in our brand new Barbara Walters Campus Center. Our students are happy to share their SLC experiences and answer all your questions, big or small. Coffee, tea, or the beverage of your choice is on us! Sign up for Coffee & Conference

Lunch Visits are hosted by current students in Bates Dining Hall—it’s buffet-style, with lots of options, including vegetarian, vegan, and gluten-free choices. Lunch visits are compatible with morning or afternoon visits.

You’re welcome to bring along family, or whoever is visiting campus with you! Lunch is complimentary for admitted students. Sign up for a Lunch Visit
