Visiting campus—located in Bronxville, NY, just 30 minutes north of Midtown Manhattan by train—is one of the best ways to experience life as a Sarah Lawrence student. On weekdays throughout the year, plus Saturdays during the fall and spring semesters, we offer a campus visit program that combines a 30-minute information session with a student-led, 60-minute walking tour of campus.
High school seniors and transfers are welcome to sit in on a class during their visit to campus. There is perhaps no better way to get a feel for the academic culture of Sarah Lawrence.
Class visits are available from October through early December and from February through April.
During the academic year, high school seniors and transfer applicants are invited to stay overnight on campus. Experiencing a full day at Sarah Lawrence will give you a real sense of the life of a student on campus. Overnight visits are scheduled on Monday through Wednesday nights and are available from October through mid-December and February through April.
Personal interviews are not a required part of the Sarah Lawrence application process, but they can provide an opportunity for students to talk individually with an admission representative to learn more about the College. Interviews—conducted by current seniors or admission staff—are an opportunity to ask the questions you want to ask, to meet personally with someone who knows the College well, and to get a sense of how your needs and interests would be met by Sarah Lawrence.
Off-campus interviews are available by appointment from September through late January for first-year applicants and from September through March for transfer applicants. These interviews are typically arranged with alumni living in your area or with current seniors on campus via Skype or other application.
