Congratulations!
I'm so happy to welcome you to Sarah Lawrence College. This was a year like no other, and our applicant pool was no different. The Class of 2030 is brimming with fantastic, thoughtful students who represent the best of SLC. The incoming class is creative, curious, and eager to connect their passions, and though most of them haven’t been able to physically visit campus, it was remarkably easy to picture them here in Bronxville. This class showed also showed true commitment to their communities: they registered new voters, spoke up about injustice, published poetry and op-eds, and volunteered everywhere from food banks to fundraisers for first responders.
At Sarah Lawrence, even the Admission Office approaches their work seminar-style: lots of discussion, lots of reading, lots of talking about the reading… So I can say with absolute authority that this year’s admitted class is truly unique and comprises so many different and exciting perspectives, backgrounds, interests, and talents. I can’t wait for you to get to know each other.
While we hope we’ll be able to welcome you to visit campus in the near future, we have plenty of ways you can Experience Sarah Lawrence College. Take a tour, sit in on student panels, or browse current student profiles to ask a specific question.
We know that you have important decisions to make in the coming months and the more information you have, the better. Please don’t hesitate to contact us with any questions at slcadmit@sarahlawrence.edu.
I hope you make time to celebrate—this is a big moment!

SLC Transcript Review
In each episode of SLC Transcript Review, student–faculty team-ups spill the tea on the classes they shared, the projects they ran with, and how it all actually went down. It’s honest. It’s funny. It’s unexpectedly moving. Spoiler: like SLC, it’s never boring.
Hannah & Maia (Psychology)
In this episode of SLC Transcript Review, student Hannah Lormore and psychology faculty member Maia Pujara dive into the intersections of brain and behavior, women’s health, and the mind-body connections shaping Hannah’s time at Sarah Lawrence.
Allie & David (Writing)
Signed up for a random class just to fill credits ➝ accidentally found your passion? Yeah, that’s Allie Zapson. David Hollander’s fiction workshop flipped the script, and now writing is her thing. From group conferences to wild reading lists, this is what happens when you stay curious.
Tyler & Jerri (Art History)
If you want a college that encourages you to explore your interests, there’s no place better than Sarah Lawrence. In this episode, learn how a class with Jerri Dodds transformed Tyler Holm into an art history student, and how Tyler’s conference projects have shaped Jerri’s teaching. Just two amazing people, talking about the things they love. Enjoy!
Lauren & Meghan (SLC EmbeddEd)
Through experiential learning and SLC EmbeddEd courses with Meghan Jablonski, student Lauren Clark learned how to interview, practiced professional skills, and turned curiosity into real-world experience, leading to internships at Paramount Studios and Nickelodeon. It’s a reminder that at Sarah Lawrence, what you study connects directly to what you do next.
