Programs and Initiatives

Thrive Mentorship Program

The Thrive Mentorship Program for Students of Color is a yearlong mentorship program that will connect incoming first year and transfer students with upperclass students at Sarah Lawrence College. Through intentional engagement and a focus on community building, student participants and leaders will have a better understanding of Sarah Lawrence College’s Principles for Mutual Respect and core values, connect with faculty, staff, and alumni; and develop skills related to success in both academic and professional spaces.

Real Talk Dialogue Series

Real Talk is a student-led and facilitated dialogue series focusing on topics related to diversity, equity, inclusion, belonging, social identities, and experiences. Each dialogue has a predetermined topic and promotes discussion around issues impacting people around the world.

Student Identity Spaces

The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging oversees and supports three student-run identity spaces as well food sharing opportunities. These spaces aim to foster community and belonging within their respective populations through events, dialogues, and community gatherings.
