Screening of Nope directed and produced by alum Jordan Peele ’01, Heimbold Visual Arts Center, Donnelley Film Theatre
Join Filmmaking and Moving Image Arts student Rohan Padmakumar '24 for a special Halloween weekend screening of Nope (2022) directed and produced by alum Jordan Peele ’01. Following Peele's Get Out and Us, Nope tells the story of a man and his sister who discover something sinister in the skies above their California horse ranch, while the owner of a nearby theme park tries to profit from the mysterious, otherworldly phenomenon. Rohan will introduce the film and share how Peele's work has inspired his own filmmaking.

Join our panel and gain insight into Sarah Lawrence's emerging community leaders in Career Services, Community Partnerships, SLC EmbeddEd, and SLICE (Sarah Lawrence Interdisciplinary Collaborative on the Environment). Students will share their experiences and the life skills they've gained through interdisciplinary courses, internships, volunteer work, and employment.

Skeleton Tour of Raushenbush Castle (aka The Library), Esther Raushenbush Library
Join us for a terrifying tour of Raushenbush Castle (aka The Library) as we celebrate Scary Book Month. 10 minute tours will include an overview of library spaces, services, and a team of 12 skeletons! Each skeleton will be displaying a spine-tingling book from our collection, chosen by library staff. We’ll also be running our 3D printer in our mini-makerspace. Every participant gets a 3D printed SLC keychain. Come enjoy our haunted stacks and stairwells as we celebrate the Halloween season! Tours run every 15 minutes until 1:30 p.m.

Join us for a special reception hosted by the Parents Council, Sarah Lawrence's family philanthropy group. Connect and network with fellow parents and family members over beverages and hors d'oeuvres while learning about the Parents Council. Wine and beer will be served. This event is open to SLC parents and family members who are 21 years of age or older.
