Vera Iliatova Named Alex Katz Chair at Cooper Union for Fall 2025
Visual and Studio Arts faculty member Vera Iliatova was recently named the Alex Katz Chair in Painting at the Cooper Union for the fall 2025 semester. Each year, the Cooper Union appoints the Katz Chair to a distinguished artist working in the fields of painting and drawing, and invites them to teach for one term. Iliatova will give an artist talk at the Cooper Union on Tuesday, November 4, at 5:30 p.m., in which she will speak about her work and her process.
