Virtual Event
Our current political climate has resulted in a long overdue focus on racial justice and equity. How do we move from learning to action? We need to create spaces that foster dialogue and allow each of us to unpack our implicit biases, so that we are able to take action. In this virtual seminar, we will read seminal texts describing the fault in our system, participate in “listening circles” and engage in honest racial discourse with the goal of making the “invisible” visible. We hope that you can use these tools to facilitate difficult dialogues on race in your own professional circles and continue the work for equity in our schools and beyond.
Sarah Lawrence College is an Approved CTLE Sponsor and offers 2 CTLE hours for this program.
Facilitated by Patricia Virella, M.S. Ed., Sarah Lawrence College.
