Family & Friends Weekend is almost here!

This annual event welcomes families and friends of our students to campus for a weekend celebrating the Sarah Lawrence community. As we celebrate 100 years of Sarah Lawrence, this special Centennial edition of Family Weekend (featuring several new activities!) offers an opportunity to experience campus life firsthand, engage with faculty and staff, and enjoy programs that showcase the creativity and scholarship of our students and colleagues.

Get ready for a weekend full of fun, family, and friends! Here's the planned schedule for the weekend.

  • 3-5 p.m.
    BWCC Atrium    		 Check-in and Information Table
    Pick up details on the weekend’s events and kick off your visit with everything you’ll need.
    3-5 p.m.
    Library & Heimbold Gallery    		 Self-guided tour
    3-5 p.m.
    Bates    		 Shop SLC
    Show off your Sarah Lawrence pride and shop all things SLC! Located at Bates 00 level (next to the Post Office).
    4:30-5 p.m.
    Remy Theatre    		 Welcome Reception
    Join us at the Remy Theatre for a welcome reception with light refreshments and good company as we kick off the weekend.
    5-6 p.m.
    Remy Theatre    		 Spotlight at the Remy: A Celebration of Dance, Theatre, Writing, and Music
    Featuring student actors, musicians, dancers, and writers!
    6-8 p.m. Dinner on Your Own
    Enjoy dinner off-campus with your student (and maybe some of their friends) at one of the area's many delicious restaurants.
    8-10 p.m.
    North Lawn    		 Movie Night
    Settle in for an evening of outdoor entertainment, complete with complimentary s’mores and all the cozy vibes of a fall night at Sarah Lawrence. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and get ready to relax, snack, and enjoy the show!

    10-11 a.m.
    BWCC A&B    		 Campus Updates with President Cristle Collins Judd
    Join us for a welcome by President Judd, followed by a Q&A with Provost and Dean of the Faculty Kanwal Singh, and Vice President and Dean of Students Dave Stanfield.
    11a.m.-12p.m. Centennial Historical Campus Tour
    11a.m.-3p.m.
    Bates    		 Shop SLC
    Show off your Sarah Lawrence pride and shop all things SLC! Located at Bates 00 level (next to the Post Office).
    12-3p.m.
    Outside BWCC    		 Block Party
    Enjoy a laid-back afternoon outdoors with food trucks serving up lunch, music setting the mood, and games scattered across the lawn.
    2-3p.m. Rejuvenation Station
    Enjoy a relaxing space designed to help you unwind, recharge, and focus on your well-being.
    3-4 p.m.
    BWCC A&B    		 Centennial Lecture: Buildable, Useful, And Memorable, Sarah Lawrence Architecture
    Faculty Emeritus Joseph Forte will give an exclusive preview of his forthcoming book on the architectural history of Sarah Lawrence, commemorating the College’s centennial.
    4-5:30p.m.
    President's House Backyard    		 Family Reception
    Connect and network with fellow parents and family members over beverages and hors d’oeuvres while learning about the Parents Council. This event is open to SLC parents and family members who are 21 years of age or older.
    5:30-8p.m. Dinner on Your Own
    Enjoy dinner off-campus with your student (and maybe some of their friends) at one of the area's many delicious restaurants.
    8:30-9:30p.m.
    BWCC    		 Bingo Night
    A fun-filled night of bingo and fabulous prizes! All campus and student guests are welcome to attend.
