Marek Fuchs (Writing) on the Enduring Value of College Newspapers
In a recent article published in Town & Country, writing faculty member Marek Fuchs argues that college newspapers remain one of the best training grounds for future leaders, helping students develop the curiosity, communication skills, and sound judgment that serve them throughout their careers, and in any field. Drawing on his experience advising The Phoenix, Sarah Lawrence's student newspaper, Fuchs points to former editors-in-chief Rachel Sander '13 and Willa Dana '26 as examples of graduates who have put those skills to work post-graduation.
