We’re thrilled to welcome 352 first-year undergraduates from across the U.S. and around the world, with the largest numbers coming from California and New York. True to the College’s “both/and” spirit, they bring wide-ranging passions: musicians diving into STEM; international students exploring diplomacy; and students blending the arts, athletics, and preprofessional interests. After a smooth move-in day, a Western-themed orientation was full of important information, traditions, and fun activities, including a scavenger hunt to get to know campus and each other, signing the Class of 2026 banner, meetings with RAs, a Library Takeover Party, and more.
The Class of 2026 joins a strong graduate and transfer cohort, including 47 new MFA Writing students, the first MFA in Dance Greene Fellow, and the largest group of Davis United World College Scholars in SLC history — 40 students committed to global understanding through education.
