A Message About Anti-Asian Violence

The College community has been horrified and heartbroken by the racially motivated violence and harassment increasingly aimed at Asian and Asian American individuals and communities in our nation since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. We grieve with the Asian American community and all who are bereft by the murder of eight people in Atlanta, Georgia earlier this week.

Sarah Lawrence College is committed to creating a more just and equitable environment within our community and in the world beyond our gates.

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee has recently completed a web-based method for SLC community members to report experiencing a bias incident on or off campus. Below are links to report a bias incident, as well as information on what constitutes such an event or a hate crime:
