Academic Coaching
Coaching
One-on-one Academic Coaching is available by appointment in the Learning Commons (virtual appointments on Zoom are available as well.) Walk-in appointments are also an option on a first-come, first-serve basis. In these sessions, our wonderful coaches will work individually with students to identify academic areas of concern and create an action plan for success in a collaborative manner. These plans typically include strategies that target a variety of areas including:
- time management and organization
- effective reading and note-taking of course materials
- study skills
- strengthening communication with faculty
- how to proactively process feedback on work
- finding research tools
- referrals to additional helpful resources on campus
Our coaches are warm, collaborative and eager to help students.
