This course will introduce the fundamentals of theatrical lighting design as a collaborative and expressive tool with the ability to direct an audience's attention and deepen the dramaturgical arc of a work. Through theoretical and hands-on instruction, students will learn to amplify choreographic intent by manipulating the color, timing, and intensity of light and shadow.
