Wrexham Road Reading Series

The Writing Institute's Wrexham Road Reading Series brings together writers from within and outside the Sarah Lawrence College community to share their work. Our intent is to engage the breadth and depth of the literary community we're fortunate to support and be supported by. This fall, as we celebrate the inauguration of our new president, Cristle Collins Judd, our series will focus on the important topic of “Democracy and Education.” Past readings have included “Persisting in this Time of Political Resistance” and future events are planned to highlight authors and issues that are timely, critical, and thoughtworthy.

Our guest readers have included authors Christina Adams, Bethany Ball, DeMisty D. Bellinger, Leland Cheuk, Sonya Chung, Sayantani DasGupta, Melissa Faliveno, Elijah Nealy, and Ines Rodrigues. We are honored to have such an esteemed group of writers spend time at these unique Writing Institute events and look forward to continuing to offer a wide range of themes on current trends and issues in our world.

We hope you will attend our events and encourage you to participate, ask questions, and join in these important discussions.
