Spring 2022 COVID-19 Testing

Prior to the start of the spring semester, all students were required to provide negative results from a rapid or PCR COVID-19 test taken within 48 hours of arriving on campus. In addition, residential students were tested upon check-in for the start of the semester. The chart below is where we'll record results from tests administered on campus throughout the semester to students, faculty, and staff, as well as results from tests conducted by non-SLC sources reported by the campus-going community.

Students in On-Campus Isolation and Quarantine Daily Counts

Sarah Lawrence is following guidelines established by the New York State and Westchester County Departments of Health regarding isolation and quarantine. At present, the guidance is as follows: Individuals testing positive for COVID-19 must isolate for at least five days; if they are asymptomatic or once their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), the isolation period will be followed by five days of wearing a mask at all times (even when outdoors) to minimize the risk of infecting others. Students determined by the Westchester County Department of Health to have been in close contact with an individual who is COVID-19 positive may be required to quarantine, depending on vaccination and/or booster status.

This graph reflects the number of residential students in isolation or quarantine on campus. Data is updated daily to reflect previous day's information.

Students in Off-Campus Isolation and Quarantine Daily Counts

The below graph depicts quarantine and isolation information reported to the College by commuter students and is updated daily to reflect the previous day's values. Commuter students are strongly encouraged to self-report to Health & Wellness the results of any test they receive on their own during the semester.
