An Update from Parent Programs
Greetings from Parent Programs at Sarah Lawrence!
It's hard to believe that Spring Break has already come and gone! We hope your children had enjoyable weeks, with an opportunity to refresh and recharge for the final months of the semester. To those of you with graduating seniors we wish early congratulations and look forward to seeing you at Commencement on Friday, May 22, 2015.
Parents are valued members of the Sarah Lawrence family, and we at Parent Programs are excited and proud to have you as a partner in your student's success. You play a crucial role in your student's college career and we are happy to work together, with you, to maximize your student's experience.
With economic times still uncertain, students continue to rely heavily on the scholarship support that comes through the Parents Fund. Thank you to all our parents who have contributed to the 2015 Parents Fund. Your support is integral in providing critical resources for all of our students and faculty. For those of you who have not yet contributed the Fund deadline is May 31, 2015. Every donation makes a difference as it enables our students to embrace passion and realize purpose.
In addition to supporting the Parents Fund, there are several other ways for parents to become involved with Sarah Lawrence, including hosting and attending receptions, acting as ambassadors at Sarah Lawrence events and in your home community, offering internships, and/or making welcome and/or fundraising calls on behalf of the College. Parents of Sarah Lawrence students are equally as creative and dynamic as their children, and we encourage you to bring that ingenuity to Parent Programs and Sarah Lawrence.
It is our goal to assist you in supporting the transition and academic success of your student. We serve as the communication link between the College and parents. We recognize that you know your student best and ask you to utilize Parent Programs as a resource when you have a question or concern.
