The United States Feminist Judgments Project is a collaborative effort of more than 100 feminist law professors to rewrite U.S. legal decisions from a feminist perspective. The Project began as a rewriting of key United States Supreme Court cases, but has expanded to include other courts and areas of law. To demonstrate that a feminist jurisprudence is possible with our current law, authors were required to situate themselves as judges at the time of the original decision, using only the precedent available then. In that way, the Project shows the true potential of our current law to advance social justice and equality.
