In 1900s Yucatan, Mexico, a revolution is on the rise. Four women’s lives intersect as politics and family life begins to collide. More than just a story about the revolution and war, we are given a glimpse into a very specific moment in time through the eyes of those who lived it.
Join us as we hear the stories of a culture erased by years of oppression and violence. Informed by the real testimonials of Yaqui and Mayan women during the Mexican Revolution, Yaqui in Yucatan brings to light a part of the history of indigenous women that has been left to the footnotes.
