“Ask a Scientist” is an event for 180 Yonkers middle school students participating in the Summer STEM 2018 program. Students have been spending the summer doing hands-on marine biology research at Sarah Lawrence College Center for the Urban River at Beczak (CURB): testing water samples, collecting sediment, and catching and releasing fish and other estuarine animals.
This panel of Sarah Lawrence College faculty will give these students an opportunity to interact with real-world scientists, ask them questions about their research, and observe hands-on demonstrations from experts.
