Join the Future Studies Faculty to engage in direct conversation and answer questions about the Future Studies Virtual Series. Together, we will explore the strange implications of trying to know the unknown future, and also how thought and imagination themselves are radically altered by this attempt to approach still-arriving worlds.
The Future Studies Virtual Series at Sarah Lawrence College is the first-ever public exhibition of the Future Studies Program in the world. The program’s faculty will showcase an array of unique, provocative multimedia video installations that traverse territories of Future Society, Future Culture, Future Politics, Future Literature, Future Philosophy, Future Media, Future Feminism, and Future Ecology. Combining image, sound, storytelling, and experimental thought. These short videos each provide a rare glimpse into several obscure dimensions on the futural horizon.
The event is open to the entire Sarah Lawrence community. A zoom link will be sent to registrants within 24 hours of the event or email virtualevents@sarahlawrence.edu.
