The Sarah Lawrence Women’s Swimming team took first place at the Hudson Valley Women's Athletic Conference Swimming Championships on Sunday, January 29, beating out rivals St. Joseph's Brooklyn and College of New Rochelle in decisive victories.
"I'm proud of the kids. They have worked really hard and they deserve it," said Head Coach Eric Mitchell following Sunday's victory.
"We had a lot of good swims," he added, singling out two swimmers in particular, Jay Pulitano '15 and Rowan Schoales '15. Both first-year student-athletes have won conference "Swimmer of the Week" honors twice and have each set a number of conference best times. Pulitano and Schoales were both named to the All-Conference Team, as was Natasha Leonard '15.
