Sarah Lawrence Dean Honored for Work on Art, Architecture of New York City Mosques

Dean of the College Jerrilynn Dodds will be honored for her ground-breaking work, New York Masjid: The Mosques of New York City, by Manhattan Borough President Scott M. Stringer at the second Iftar dinner taking place on September 2 (during the month of Ramadan) at the Malcolm X and Dr. Betty Shabazz Memorial and Educational Center.

Dr. Dodds, who joined Sarah Lawrence College in August, is a scholar of Medieval, Islamic and Hispanic art and architecture. She was previously distinguished professor and senior faculty advisor to the provost for undergraduate education at the City College of New York.
