Members of the Class of '15 Look Ahead
Finishing conference work while savoring their final days at Sarah Lawrence makes for a busy end of the academic year for graduating students. And then there’s the question on everyone’s mind: What’s next? At the annual champagne reception hosted by President Karen R. Lawrence, we asked members of the Class of 2015 to share their post-commencement plans.
Nate Montalto '15
“I’m going to the University of Michigan Law School. I’ve been awarded a Dean’s Scholarship there for my performance during my time at SLC.”
Natasha Leonard '15
“I will be moving to the city and doing a summer fellowship with Fenton Communications, which is among the top communication agencies working on social change, advocacy, and cause-centered strategic communications.”
Amy Laprade MFA '15 (fiction)
“In addition to publishing my two novellas, I plan to become a full-time teaching artist, teaching the craft of fiction and expository writing to underserved populations—youth in particular—in a nontraditional academic setting.”
Sullivan Gardner '15
“I am attending grad school at the School of Visual Arts in New York City. In September, I will begin their two-year graduate program in photography, video, and related media.”
Brian Fox '15
“I’m moving to New Jersey this summer to pursue a Master of Divinity at Princeton Theological Seminary in the fall.”
Rachel Lesel '15
“I will be teaching English through theatre at a summer camp in Northern Italy, then hopping over to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland to visit my friends from my time abroad. Come September I will be moving to Brooklyn with other SLC alums from this year.”
Rosie Koocher '15
“I will be interning in New York City with Billy Hopkins & Chrystie Street Casting as a casting director intern. I also accepted a leading role in an independent film that will start shooting in the beginning of June in South Jersey.”
Cameron Gates Rudd '15
“This fall, I'll be at CCNY pursuing a master’s degree in pure mathematics. Afterward, I intend to obtain a PhD. So I will also be applying to PhD programs that will start Fall 2016.”
