Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT), Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist (BC-DMT), Advanced Graduate Degree, CCNY, NY State Certified School Psychologist, Certified Mediator by the Unified Court System of NY State. Susan has 30 years of clinical work experience with children and adults with emotional and developmental disabilities and autistic spectrum disorders. She worked with teams of creative art therapists servicing developmentally disabled adults at the Federation Employment Guidance Service and Young Adult Institute.She also worked as a Clinical School Psychologist with school age children for 20 years at the Putnam Northern Westchester Board of Cooperative Education. Working collaboratively with teams of teachers and therapists, Susan specialized in group work and the creative art therapies. Group Work Theory and Practice I - Graduate


In this course, students will learn basic theories and concepts of interventions with small groups. We will explore theories such as Irving Yalom’s interpersonal approach, as well as clinical roles and skills needed for the effective practice of group work in varied clinical settings.
