Faris Ahmed Khan

BA, Hanover College. MA, Brandeis University. PhD, Syracuse University. Special interests include sexuality and gender, queer and transgender studies, identity, globalization, and activism with a geographical focus on South Asia. Author of “Powerful Cultural Productions: Identity Politics in Diasporic Same-Sex South Asian Weddings,” published in Sexualities in 2011, and “Khwaja Sira: Transgender Activism and Transnationality in Pakistan,” a chapter in the edited volume, South Asia in the World: An Introduction, by Susan Snow Wadley, 2014.
