From New York City (West Side of Manhattan)

• Take the West Side Highway North to the Henry Hudson Parkway, which becomes the Saw Mill River Parkway.
• From the Saw Mill River Parkway, take exit #4 (Cross County Parkway East), bear right at the fork in the road, and take exit #5 (Kimball Ave.).
• At the traffic light, make a left onto Kimball Ave. Go under the overpass to the third traffic light and turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take the FDR Drive/East River Drive North to exit #18 (Willis Ave. Bridge).
• Go over the bridge, staying in the left lane, entering the Major Deegan Expressway/Interstate 87 North, which becomes the New York State Thruway/Interstate 87 North in Westchester County.
• Take exit #4 (Cross County Parkway East), bear right at the fork in the road, and take exit #5 (Kimball Ave.).
• At the traffic light, make a left onto Kimball Ave. Go under the overpass to the third traffic light and turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take Interstate 95 South to Exit #21/Interstate 287 West, towards the Tappan Zee Bridge (first exit in New York).
• Get off at exit #9 (Hutchinson River Parkway), go through one traffic light, and look for Hutchinson River Parkway South (9S).
• Take the Hutchinson River Parkway South into the Cross County Parkway West (left-hand side).
• Take the Cross County Parkway West to exit #5 (Kimball Ave.) and make a right, which will bring you to the Kimball Ave. traffic light.
• Make a left at the Kimball Ave. traffic light. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take the Taconic State Parkway South, which becomes the Sprain Brook Parkway South.
• Exit the Sprain Brook Parkway at #11 West (Cross County Parkway West). Take exit #5 (Kimball Ave.) and make a right, which will bring you to the Kimball Ave. traffic light.
• Make a left at the Kimball Ave. traffic light. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take the New York State Thruway/Interstate 87 South to exit #4 (Cross County Parkway East).
• Continue off the exit past the stop sign, gas station, and overpass. Take the second entrance ramp on the right to the Cross County Parkway East.
• Take the Cross County Parkway East to exit #5 (Kimball Ave.) 
• At the traffic light, make a left onto Kimball Ave. Go under the overpass to the third traffic light and turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take the Whitestone Bridge to the Hutchinson River Parkway North and get off at exit #13 (Cross County Parkway West).
• Take the Cross County Parkway West to exit #5 (Kimball Ave.) and make a right, which will bring you to the Kimball Ave. traffic light.
• Make a left at the Kimball Ave. traffic light. At the next traffic light, turn right onto Glen Washington Rd.
• Make the first left onto Mead Way, then an immediate left into Westlands Gate, and look for the guard just inside the gate for parking instructions.

• Take the New Jersey Turnpike and follow the signs to the George Washington Bridge (preferably the lower level).
• Once over the bridge, take the exit on right marked "THRU TRAFFIC" and follow the signs to the Major Deegan Expressway/Interstate 87 North, which becomes the New York State Thruway/Interstate 87 North in Westchester County.

The following rules and regulations remain in effect:

Weekdays (Monday - Friday): On weekdays, we recommend that you travel to the College by train, bus, or taxi. However, if travel by car is necessary, please proceed to Westlands Gate, and security will either inform you of the best place to park or issue a temporary parking pass. From 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. on weekdays, guest parking is limited to Kober Parking Lot. If Kober is full or unavailable, alternative lots are Morrill and Marshall Field (entrances to both are on the west side of Kimball Avenue). Parking in any other lot without a permit will result in a ticket from campus security.

Evenings (Monday - Friday): After 5 p.m., guest parking is permitted in any lot without a permit. We recommend parking during these times in Andrews Parking Lot, the entrance to which is on Kimball Avenue. If this lot is full, proceed to Kober, Morrill, or Marshall Field lots.

Weekends (Saturday & Sunday): Parking is permitted in any lot without a permit, all day and evening. We recommend parking during these times in Andrews Parking Lot, the entrance to which is on Kimball Avenue. If this lot is full, proceed to Kober, Morrill, or Marshall Field lots.

Metro-North Railroad Harlem Line commuter trains run every half-hour between 6 a.m. and 11:30 p.m. on weekdays, and hourly on weekends.

• Take the train from Grand Central Terminal to the Bronxville Station.
• Purchase your round-trip tickets at the station to avoid an extra charge.
• Call Metro-North at 800.638.7646, visit the Metro-North website, or inquire at the information booth in Grand Central Terminal for exact schedule and fare information.
• Taxi service is available at the Bronxville Station for the short ride to the College (ask to be taken to the Westlands Building to reach the Admission Office).

There are three major airports—LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark—that serve this region of New York. Once you arrive at the airport, you will find ground transportation booths located on the same level as baggage claim areas. Taxi and private car services are offered, and the address to share with the driver is 1 Mead Way, Bronxville, NY 10708.

There are also several different airport shuttle services that offer frequent service into Manhattan, and the boarding points at the airport are clearly marked. The shuttle services will have stops that are conveniently located within one block of Grand Central station, which is the only station that runs the Metro-North train line. From there, you can take the Metro-North train to the Bronxville station. From the Bronxville train station, you can either take a cab or walk to Sarah Lawrence. The walk takes approximately 15 minutes. The following is information on the shuttle services:

• New York Airport Service runs a bus shuttle service from LaGuardia, Kennedy, and Newark airports to various drop-off points in Manhattan such as Grand Central Station, Port Authority Bus Terminal, and Bryant Park.
• New York City Airporter is similar to New York Airport Service. Make advance reservations online or call 718.777.5111 or 855.269.2247.
• Newark Liberty Airport Express runs buses between Newark Liberty Airport and NYC.
