Affinity Groups

The Office of Alumni Relations brings together alumni in common industries or stages of life. If you would like to volunteer with an existing affinity group or discuss creating a new group, please contact Rosalind Ferstenberg.

Alumni Committee on Community and Inclusion (ACCI)

The Alumni Committee on Community and Inclusion (ACCI) is an affinity group for Sarah Lawrence alumni that celebrates diversity and inclusion in our community. Members include:

In collaboration with The Offices of Alumni RelationsDiversity & Campus Engagement, and Equity & Inclusion, ACCI will work to plan a variety of programs related to the professional development and general advancement of the College’s alumni and students of marginalized identities. The committee hopes to provide meaningful opportunities for alumni and students to connect with one another socially and professionally.

Alumni attorneys in the New York metro area have been gathering for an annual reception since 2010.

Alumni in the film and entertainment industries gather at events such as meet-ups during the Tribeca Film Festival and New York Film Festival, panel discussions, and more.

Alumni in Higher Education

Alumni in higher education include faculty, guest faculty, PhD candidates, presidents, provosts, and deans. They gather at events such as happy hours, panel discussions, and more. The LinkedIn group brings alumni in conversation around scholarly discussions of the day, best practices in the field, and how a Sarah Lawrence education has informed alumni's professional practice of teaching, research, and academic administration.

Graduate Alumni

The College currently offers eleven graduate programs. Alumni of those programs gather at events such as happy hours and conference gatherings like the National Society of Genetic Counselors Annual Conference and the Association of Writers & Writing Programs Conference & Bookfair. 

New York-Area Families

Founded in 2016, this group is dedicated to planning child, toddler and baby-friendly events in the New York area providing opportunities for alumni to connect.
