Class of 2012: Learn more about the Senior Class Gift

The Senior Class Gift is a contribution to the College on behalf of the class of 2012. The contribution is part of The Fund for Sarah Lawrence, which supports students, faculty, sports, campus maintenance, and student services. All past and present members of the Sarah Lawrence community need to be be part of our efforts to nurture and enhance our College.

Below are the reasons some members of the Class of 2011 decided to contribute to their Senior Class Gift:

"I've chosen to give my time and money to Senior Gift Committee because Sarah Lawrence has single handedly helped me become the person that I am today and I would sincerely regret it if the school was unable to give that same opportunity to each and every student that comes to this school after me." –Althea Clemons

"Sarah Lawrence has given me a home and an education that has allowed me to develop my own interpretation of the world around me over the past four years. I am participating in the Senior Class Gift as an acknowledgement of the impact the College and the community here has had on my person and life." –Brianna Leone

"I give because I truly believe in the merits of a Sarah Lawrence education. A large part of what has made my experience here so great is the opportunities I have been afforded, both academically and personally, that I doubt I would have ever attempted to undertake at any other institution. My small gift will help to ensure that the subsequent generations that attend Sadie Lou have the same chances to explore their potentials and, ultimately, to question their limitations." –Kat Graham

"A Sarah Lawrence education is a gift that I've been lucky enough to receive. I want every future student of Sarah Lawrence to be transformed by their experiences here, just as I have been." –Lydia DeLauro

"I give so that I can cement SLC's place not only in my own life, but in the lives of my professors, friends, and classmates. The idea of "Sarah Lawrence" is so much more than sitting in classes or reading great works. If I hadn't been given the freedom here to forge my own path, I would have likely been stuck in the footsteps of those less willing to learn, take risks, or fail in the name of self-improvement and world improvement." –Michael Mietlicki

"For four years, Sarah Lawrence has given me quite a bit. The way I see it, the least I can do is give some of my time and money to help keep this school as amazing as it has always been." –Tony Assande
